for another 6 months, these boys went on some serious training and team missions to further sharpen their skills. And after showing their prowess in a 9-ep Survival Show, finally the 7 member group, IKON, is formed.

These boys definitely has nothing but a debut left to give to the fans. 

YG shared that he is looking forward to debut iKON early 2015. With BI and Bobby leading the group, a debut set on that time is not impossible. [let's keep our hopes high!]

ME SPEAKS!

now you might want to know what I think about iKON.... I say iKON is bound to take over the kpop scene like what BIGBANG had been doing. they are like the "Little BigBang" of YG; and that's a fact!

with their burning passion and undeniably sharp skills, I see them as monsters who'll be eating up the whole kpop scene.

they're be the ones I see going neck-to-neck with EXO or GOT7 in music shows in the future; and surely they will succeed.

what makes me think so highly about iKON and so sure that they are going to be big in the future is the fact that they have been through A LOT of brutality already. 2-4years of not just plain training but survival shows that made them really fight for their lives. They are already like the best pieces of swords that went through a lot of heat and pounding already, sharpened to it's best, and no more heat and beating can be a burden to them anymore. They're stronger than ever, and there's no more room in their system to go easy. and this is what YG purposely did for them.

they might be little boy in our eyes, but they're not that easy.

now with WINNER and iKON co-existing as a boy group in YGE, what makes them different from Winner, and where does Winner stand in the Hallyu scene?

a lot of people might see WINNER and iKON co-existing in YG as a self-destructing bomb YG planted to himself. We might come to see the day when both groups will battle for charts in the future. but I see no problem with that.

WINNER and iKON has a TOTALLY different taste, image, genre (whatever you might call it) from each other. they serve different niches, and co-existing is of no problem.

as we see, WINNER debuted skipping the mainstream image of boys doing the strong charismatic dances, or the cute boyfriend concepts. WINNER went straight to the handsome and manly image which is uncommon today. And fans received them warmly for that. At this point, Winner is going on their own path down the hallyu lane, since they came to set a different genre of their own.

on the other hand, I  see iKON to debut as in the mainstream image, catering to the common public with the dancing and very cool HIPHOP vibe. [explains why I used to say they go par with EXO ans GOT7 and all other groups.] but again, it is already proven the iKON is stronger, and going against seniors 2-3 years ahead from them is no problem.

with WINNER and iKON both in YG, I just see them as a one group again. The boys of WIN, promoting as 2 sub-units. [the hyungs and the maknaes]

I look forward to these boys succeeding in the future........ be monsters like WINNER! drop the biggest bomb ever!  iKON FIGHTING!!!
