Should Marriage always come with love? Or is someone you need more important than someone you love?this drama gives us answers to these questions.
Starred by Han Groo, Yun Woo Jin, Jung Jin Woon, Han Sun Hwa, Huh Jung Min and Yoon So Hee. TVN's MARRIAGE NOT DATING is a comedic series that shows us the realities of the thing we call "marriage".
In the topic of marriage, there are different kinds of people. There are those who wants to find love and marry the person they love; there are others who just want to fall in the frenzy of having love, but gets no thoughts of marrying at all; and there are those who just doesn't want anything but be with himself forever.
This series showcases the events in main character, Joo Jang Mi's, life as she struggles to find the assurance of love as she prepares for her perfect married life.
As the main topic of this series is showing the realities of what really goes on in the process of getting married, it has an underlying topic of showing us the reality of life itself.
It shows us that life works best with communication and understanding. That in our every waking day, there is the constant struggle of understanding people, as people also struggle to be understood. That there are things that not only needs to be seen but also needs to be heard in order to be fully understood.
Although the push-and-pull plots didn't really appeal to me; and there are numerous of scenes that were left hanging [spoiler alert!!!], I specially like this because of the many realities about life that they present; and we can definitely learn from them.
Seeing the end to this series makes me feel like I want to get married soon. But yes, there are a lot of troubles to go through, and people to face, and arguments to make. Yet then again, that's what makes the marriage itself beautiful, because it was never easy to arrive at your happy ending.
For marriage is not only about two people falling in love with each other. This is no Snow White and Prince Charming story, I say. But real marriage is about FAMILY.
